Gold and Platinum Credit Cards
Gold and platinum credit cards sometimes offer better interest rates and terms than other cards. However they are usually only made available to people who meet certain criteria (relating to age, salary and credit history, amongst other things).
Having a Platinum or Gold credit card is now much less exclusive than it used to be as most of these cards are available to anyone earning over £20,000 a year. There may be additional benefits to working up to a Gold or Platinum card but there may also be additional costs, so be careful to read the small print and make sure the card matches your spending habits.
