Low Standard Interest Rate Credit Cards
In the world of credit nothing is more enticing than the promise of a 0% interest rate. Some credit card issuers exploit this fact to reel you in with an attractive introductory offer only to switch to a new, highly-inflated rate once they've got you hooked.
It may be hard to believe, but most credit card companies are more interested in making money from you than giving you a good deal. By offering a limited amount of interest free credit they are relying on you missing (or completely forgetting) the expiry date so that they can benefit from the new high standard rate.
Sometimes it can be better to ignore the razzle-dazzle of the 0% card and focus on finding a card with a low standard rate of interest - i.e. a card that is going to charge you a permanent low rate. Unless you are sure you will benefit from the 0% offer and you can remember to move or clear your balance before the offer expires, then a low standard interest rate card is probably the best bet for you.
